hAP AC2 update failed - cant netinstall

Hello,
after trying to update ROS from 6.47 to 7beta2 via winbox my device no longer boots (hAP AC2). I’ve tried to fix the problem with Netinstall but the RB doesnt show up (eth1 → pc - no hyper-v, firewall off, other NICs forbidden, netinstall run under admin). I have also tried to use switch to avoid flaps etc. without success. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
If there is no way to restore former OS, should i try to RMA with local reseller?

Usual question - have you used Netinstall before or it is your first try?

First time using netinstall, netinstall IP 88.3, PC IP 88.2 - held for 15 sec until light went off, then after repeating process held for about 40 seconds with no effect either

Have you got another Mikrotik RB to try with? Even though you seem to have avoided all the things which interfere with Netinstall, there may still be some issue there. Wireshark might help you in terms that it would show whether the RB sends a bootp discovery - if yes, it is likely to be a Netinstall issue, if not, it is likely to be an issue with the bootloader.

Tried on working BD952Ui with no luck, I will try on different machine tommorow and post results. Anything particular what should I look for in wireshark? Or just any UDP traffic on ports 67/68?

If another device has an issue too, it should be a Netinstall one (or ether1 is not the right interface for netinstall in case of hAP ac²). And yes, look for any UDP traffic on ports 67/68 for starters, the one arriving from the bootloader should have a broadcast destination.

Wireshark report in attachment, there seem to be BOOTP request from RB but no response whatsoever from my laptop.
I’ve tried Netinstall 6.46, 6.47, 6.48 and 7beta all without luck. Since the firewall is already off I have no idea what so ever how to proceed and what might be causing the trouble.

EDIT: cant upload, maybe too large export - moved to gdrive https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IK65V3slyZBzXJBHFPdJfwonTAweSBTq/view?usp=sharing

I’ve also seen antivirus software to drop some network traffic. Or maybe you didn’t think of disabling some virtual network cards? The old Cisco VPN client, Forticlient, etc. use virtual network adaptors.

A .pcap would have been easier to deal with than the text printout where the few BOOTP packets are lost in the other noise. It took me some time to realize that I need to search for BOOTP, not bootp.

Don’t you have anyone geographically close to you who has a working netinstall?

I have tried on different computer with different network card chip maker and success! No longer a Netinstall virgin I thank you for pointing me at the direction of the actual error - me (or at the very least my computer).
