how much more powerful is hex cpu over hap ac2?
Considering hap ac2 as routers from now since it comes with wifi. wanna know how much i’d lose out on cpu
According to Ethernet and IPsec test results i can say that hAP ac² is more powerfull than hEX. We have 4 full cores @716 MHz in hAP ac² vs 2 cores @880 MHz with hyperthreading in hEX.
i have both, the hap ac2 is faster by a substantial amount.
on a 1gbit pppoe link, the rb750gr3 loads the cpu at max ~50% while the hap ac2 loads the cpu at 25-30%.
can’t tell about the encryption, according to mikrotik the ipsec acceleration is also faster.
