HAP ac3 wifi status led always off

I’ve just noticed that the wifi status led on my HAP ac3 is always off, not blinking or anything, even if wifi is actively used. This led was surely blinking before, then from certain point in time, it stopped. At boot, the led blinks for a while (as well as all the other leds as it normally used to at boot), but then when the system is up and running, the wifi led is completely off. The RouterOS version is 7.1.3.

Any ideas what this might be caused by? Thanks.

Do your RouterOS and Routerboard Firmware match?

Yes, I’ve just double-checked, they’re exactly same.

I have the same issue with my hap ac3. I thought the led has died…Its on ros 7.1.3, and i installed wifivawe2, i think it started happening after i installed wifivawe package, but didn’t notice it at first…

Yes, you’re right! I can confirm. I’ve just disabled the wifiwave2 package and the wifi LED works again. So it must be some incompatibility/bug with the wifiwave2. Should be probably reported then and fixed.

how do we report it? im new to this :smiley:
can the bug fix be named after us? :laughing:

I’ve just sent an email to support@mikrotik.com and it got a ticket assigned so I hope somebody will read it…

I’ve got a response from the support - they reproduced the issue in lab and they will be fixing that in an upcoming RouterOS release.

Just tried the 7.3beta33 (2022-Apr-11 14:09) and it’s fixed there:
*) leds - fixed wireless related LED behavior with WW2 package;

cool, im on stable channel, currently 7.2.1, it still doesn’t work on this one.

So the fix has landed in stable 7.2.3.
