Hap Ax Lite WIFI Broken on 7.8 and downgrade

Guys,
i just get an L41G-2axD

came with 7.6
all was good, so i do not follow the “if aint broke dont fix it”
so i installed 7.8
and my radio interface dissappearead
then i downgraded to 7.6 and same thing.

what i notice is that on quickfig there is not homeAP anymore, only ethernet

does the L41G-2axD is too new so MT forget to add the default scripts on 7.6 and above ?

also i cant add the WIFI radio manually, there is no option in winbox
i get red letters and missing content

anyone had the same issue ?
thing is that i cant use it anymore with 7.6
radio is broken

I’ve seen this being reported a couple of times already.

Add wifiwave2 package.
It’s mandatory on AX devices but it eludes me how it disappeared from your device…

Is clear, he has copied only routeros without the wifiwave2 separate package…
Also when dowwngrade, because for downgrade to 7.6 he can only download the routeros package…

You must download also the extra packages and put on routerboard routeros v7.8 and ONLY wifiwave2 7.8 package

and i downloaded the extra packages but did not UL any of them when upgraded to 7.8
neither when downgrading to 7.6 and yesss… whatever version you install on your mikrotik
you need to use their matching version of extra packages
7.6…with 7.6 extras
7.8 with 7.8 extras and so on…
idk what happen if you mismatch packages..

btw, is the Hap Ax Lite the most budget arm based router board correct ?

Arm based ? Yes, I believe so.
Disable wireless and you can do a swap with Hex and alikes … same price range.

If version of any of extra packages doesn’t match version of base package, it won’t be installed.

BTW, no need to install all of the extra packages, only those which provide functionality you need. For ax devices one definitely needs wifiwave2 package, the rest are really optional.
