hAP ax s - Ether1 missing from LED menu and no link/activity

Model: E62iUGS-2axD5axT

RouterOS Version: 7.19.5 (en7562)

Hi everyone,

I just bought a new hAP ax S. I am trying to set it up for the first time, but Ether1 seems to be dead.

There is no LED light on Port 1 when a cable is plugged in.

In WinBox, the interface stays at "no link" (no 'R' flag).

In the System -> LEDs menu, ether1 is completely missing from the list, while all other ports are there.

The cable and modem work perfectly when plugged into Port 2 or Port 3.

What I have tried:

  1. Tested multiple high-quality Cat6 cables.

  2. Performed a hard factory reset (Reset button).

  3. Disabled Auto-Negotiation and tried forcing speeds.

  4. Checked for bent pins inside the port (pins look perfect).

Is there any software setting that could cause the port to disappear from the LED list, or did I receive a unit with a faulty hardware controller for Port 1?

Since it's brand new, I need to know if I should RMA it.

Just want to mention that based on the block diagram, port 1 is connecting directly to the CPU, not the switch. Also, I updated the firmware to 7.22.3 but port 1 still doesn't work.

If interface activity does not show an active link, why do you think ether1-led should light up ?
It might indicate a defective port (especially if you say that same cable does work for ether2 or ether3).

Yes, ether1-led is missing from led menu, that's true as well on my hAP AX S sitting here next to me with a blinking led on ether1 ...

I would RMA that device.
