I m very new to mikrotik . My question is as hAP ax S and hex refresh both are sharing same hardware, if i keep the wifi turned off in hap ax s , then should hap ax S work or performance same as hex refresh ? or they are different in ethernet performance ?
Block diagrams are identical for the related parts, so is the CPU, switch, ... so I would say 'yes'.
With the same remark ether1 is a direct connection to CPU so it may suffer from performance when used in a single bridge mode with all other ether ports.

Just to say: think before on how you want to use that device, understand the consequences and only then apply config.
Yes. Together with the hEX S 2025 they form a product group:
- hEX Refresh
- hEX S 2025 = hEX Refresh + SFP
- hAP ax S = hEX S 2025 + WiFi = hEX Refresh + SFP + WiFi
Considering their price points, if you think you might possibly need an sfp in the future, buy at least the S. Similarly, if you think that wifi may possibly be of any use at any time, buy the ax.
Just be aware that according to current reports, the wifi stability and speed is not optimal (which of course may improve in the future.)
So if wifi is an important or primary concern, I'd look to the ax2.
Besides the perplexities about the "strange" ether1 behaviour (that seemingly does not affect the SFP in the hex S) the hex S has also an advantage in power voltage range.

Definitely. I do some industrial (PLCs, etc.) stuff, and for these I always recommend the S. WiFi is not needed and the extended voltage range is very nice.
