Hap AX2 vs Hap be lite

Hi,

could you please share yout thoughts on those device, which should I buy as main router and main wifi device in 2026?

I like:

Hap be lite - usb c, wifi be

Hap AX - more lan, better cpu and more ram

hap be lite is not yet available to buy. Ethernet specifications are not published yet. usb-c is afaik for powering only. "more lan" is one more port on the ax2.

Another unreleased device which would better fit as the universal home router is the hap be3 media. More expensive but it should eat the hap be lite for breakfast.

Personally, with the new mediatek drivers on hAP be, I'd go with ax2.
Or wait a bit longer until you're certain most issues have been ironed out.
How long ? Nobody knows.

For lab purposes I am willing to pull in a relatively new device (did so last time with hAP AX S) but for production ... probably not.
