hAP ax3 - blue led turned red

In one of my hAP ax3 (I have 2 configured almost identically) the blue led on the front panel (WPS button?) is blinking red. It’s pretty disturbing, and I couldn’t find any information about this.

After a restart it’s blue for a few seconds, and then it starts to blink red.

  1. What is the reason? Is it documented anywhere?
  2. How can I make it blue again?

Attaching the photo for reference.

There is no photo, at least i can’t see it. Is router accessible by winbox or webfig ?

Is this MT conventional LED color? Red then means PoE is providing power.

This is fixed in 7.13.1:
*) leds - do not show LTE connection state/mode using RGB power LED from configless LTE modems (introduced in v7.13);

Well, ax3 have passive poe in/out and on my ax3 poe-out is active and that LED is blue. I think there is a LED light active when powering something with POE but that led in on the back of the router.

For clarification:

  • router works fine - I can connect between devices (both wireless and Ethernet), access internet, login via ssh/winbox.
  • I’m not using PoE - I double checked that it’s disabled.

The clue about config-less LTE modem and system updates seems to be very interesting. I noticed the red led after an update (don’t remember which one), and one of the differences in my setup is LTE modem (LED is red on the ax3 with LTE, and blue on the other one).

I will update to latest version (currently I’m on 7.13) and see if it’s fixed.

Just for confirmation - after updating RouterOS, issue is no longer visible.
