What is a typical hAP AX3 CPU temperature on idle and under WiFi load?
In my case, on idle, I have 62 deg C, and under iperf3 load, it gets to 72 deg C, CPU load 25-30%
Still, my max load on ax or ac is below 800Mbps, typically 300-500Mbps in short range
I wonder, is it normal, or maybe my heatsink on the CPU is broken or not well connected?
Edit: my cabinet env: temp: 24 deg C, humidity 42%
Raspberry Pi CPU is 34-38 deg C depending on load, over 30deg cooler than AX3 
Mine is sitting at 43 degrees idle right now, but my room temperature is currently 15 degrees.
Mine is 49 celsius but only as AP. Mine AX2 is 59 celsius, with loads settings…
Sent it back to the Service, it is broken and will be replaced

Was the temperature an issue? I recently set up my ax3 and as ap only with 3 idling clients and a CPU load of 1% at 19°C it sits at 53°C. Should I be concerned?

Hello Peter. Has your device been replaced? Is it any better with the new one?
It helped for temperature, new device is 10-20 deg cooler. It hasn’t changed the Wi-Fi performance.
I made my piece with poor Wi-Fi performance.
My ax3 is quite consistent at 20C above ambient when the ceiling fan is on and 25C above ambient when the fan is off.
CPU load is fairly low. Mostly at 1-2% with the occasional spike to 6%. It’s running as an AP, switch and 3 containers (1 of which is only active every 60 days for a miniute.)
Currently (1:50am) it’s at 49C. Room temp is 29.5C. Ceiling fan on.
Temps for RB5009, hAP ax3, hAP ax and RB2011.
Also have an hAP ac2 but no temp sensor.
My HAP AX3 only as AP had 50° now use it as gateway with many settings and it has 62° in closet and without any load.
The same was with AX2, only AP around 50° as gateway around 60 without load in closet
