I have a problem with configuring wifi on new hap ax3. There are no any wifi interfaces. Is this a hardware problem?

DefConf gen: Unable to find wifiwave2 interface(s)
Wireless driver for ax devices is wifiwave2 which is generally optional package in additional packages archive, available from download.mikrotik.com … once optional package is installed, upgrade (from within ROS) does it for those packages as well.

I just bought a Hap ax3
but the wifi interface is gone. even the wifiLED is off. i installed whole extera pakage. but in inteface some times wifi1 & wifi2 still there and some times they r not there. i really confused
any one can help?
If you did not make significant amount of custom configuration on the device yet I suggest you to reset it. Than start over.
First update it with the lateset version of ROS. For hap ax3 no the factory preinstalled packages are enough to get wifi work, no additional package needed.
Consider using Safe Mode for further configuration.

As of 7.13 an additional package IS needed to get wifi working: wifi-qcom.
Factory installed it comes with 7.6 (the ones I handled lately did). There the separate package wasn’t present yet.
If you use the NORMAL upgrade path, it will first go to some 7.12 version (some behind the scene things get prepared there) and then moving to 7.13 or later, packages will be split into base and wifi-qcom.
But if you install base package manually to go to 7.13 or higher, you also need to take care of wifi-qcom or otherwise you get no wifi.
Also make sure that extra package is enabled for use.
Also: if using netinstall, select both routeros and wifi-qcom packages for installation in one go. If any optional package is installed after configuration is reset to factory defaults, the default settings relevant to that package don’t get applied.

I handeled the situation by downgrading to 7.8. wifi is on and broadcasted the SSID. its funny that in 7.15 with qcom package i could see both wifi interfaces but without broadcastin the SSID.
I dont know what is wrong with hap series products. i have never seen anything like this in other microtik products before

I’m on 7.15.1 with a Hap ax2 and I had problems with the 5ghz interface (wifi1) if left to auto. You need to specify frequencies it can use or it ends up on frequencies some devices are not happy with.
If you are using 80mhz channel widths trying specifying the following WiFi channels
5180, 5260, 5500, 5580, 5660, 5745
It should then work without issues.
Which is a client problem, not an access point problem.
Perhaps we should call the hapax3 ( with no interFACES), the hap"Arya Stark".
