hAP be³ Media Ethernet ports not working on stable RouterOS

Unfortunately, in the stable ROS version 7.24.3, the Ethernet interfaces on the QCA8386 switch chip (eth2–eth5) still malfunction—meaning they do not work...

In the beta version 7.25beta4, the Ethernet ports on the switch are working.

I just got my tik yesterday and it just happened after upgrading to 7.24.4 again.

yesterday when updating to 7.24.3 i just started factory resetting it and set it up from scratch again, which seemed to work. I didnt want to redo all the stuff i setup until now again so i tried resetting it to factory settings and restoring my backup i did pre-update. Thankfully i could still get in via wifi this time, but all ethernet ports stopped working again.

Yet again the only fix seemed to be updating to the beta version ...

What would be the reason that the old one works and the new one doesn't? Maybe there were changes in hw? Another chip?

Apparently they forgot to set minimum version to 7.25 and now people keep trying 7.24.x

But in general you can assume that you should never downgrade to a lower version than was on the device when you bought it.

Came with 7.23.1, now I have 7.23.5 and no problem. But it's just for home use.

@pe1chl The problem is that the router came with ROS 7.23.1 installed, and the Ethernet ports (eth2–eth5) controlled by the QCA8396 chip were already not working correctly on that version.

@lubomirs Are you using the Ethernet ports labeled eth2–eth5?

I didn't test the packet forwarding itself (the switch function). For me, the problem appeared after removing port eth2 from the bridge and attempting to assign it an IP address via the DOCSIS cable modem's DHCP (backup WAN). The DHCP client remained stuck in the "searching" state.

Yes, eth1 as WAN (DOCSIS cable modem connected only as a modem, not a router, IPV4), eth2-4 used to connect the TV, to the children's room and for VPN to work (ac2), eth5 unused
Some devices are connected to a static IP (telephones via wifi), some have a dynamic one via DHCP. But I canceled MLD, I have 3 separate wifi, 2 - older devices with wpa2 (printer, air conditioner, TV), 5 - newer devices with wpa3 (telephones, ntb), 6 - still more or less unused - I have no devices

New release (7.24.5) fixed the issue for me.
