hAP be³ Media - what is average real power consumption?

Hello, the hAP be³ Media seems very good device and I'm considering to order it. But I need to know real power consumption, ideally in these states:

  • idle (< 2Mbps traffic), no containers running, with disabled Wi-Fi
  • idle (< 2Mbps traffic), no containers running, enabled Wi-Fi
  • idle (< 2Mbps traffic), 2-3 light containers running (like Pi-Hole), enabled Wi-Fi

It is a bit too early to know, hAP be Media devices have not yet been delivered to customers or if they have on some markets there are not yet reports on the forum of people actually having got one.

I would expect, starting from a max power of 20 W (without attachments)

  • idle (< 2Mbps traffic), no containers running, with disabled Wi-Fi 35-40% ->7-8W
  • idle (< 2Mbps traffic), no containers running, enabled Wi-Fi -> 35-40%+2 x 2-3 W= 11-14W
    • idle (< 2Mbps traffic), 2-3 light containers running (like Pi-Hole), enabled Wi-Fi -> A suffusion of yellow :astonished_face: (seriously, hard to say, it will also depend on the USB storage device used, if any)

but the above is just like my opinion (you can call it an educated guess, at the most :wink:).

aha, so no one has this device yet? I need to wait.

Yep, you may want to keep an eye on this thread where people are posting their own experience in the waiting list:
