hAP lite 3.29 firmware upgrade?

I’m sorry if this has been posted before, but it’s hard to search on because searching on “firmware upgrade” or “3.29” turns up thousands of results and the top hits are not relevant.

I noticed in System → Routerboard my hAP lite had a firmware upgrade from 3.27 to 3.29. Are there release notes for this? What changed? I upgraded my test router and it had no problems so I probably will upgrade my production ones too but I usually expect to see release notes with any upgrade.

Do they exist?

AFAIK there isn’t a firmware changelog.

So far never had a “bad experience” with firmware updates, so I usually test it once, and if there are no problems, I upgrade all production units.

Firmware isn’t like ROS version where continous development and new features depending on channel are being carried away, so guess if mikrotik updates it is for a reason, specially with recently released devices like the Hap lite.

I figured “firmware” was the bootloader.

How are firmware versions maintained? On a strict specific device model dependent basis? architecture-dependent? a mix?

For example when protected RouterBoot was implemented, all devices firmware was “leveled” to 3.22.

Then for a “fix tilera NAND ALE init” increased version to 3.23.

Does this mean when routerboot 3.23 got released for RB9xx, it doesn’t really contain any fixes for that platform?
