hAP lite and Powerline

Hello
I have read that HAP lite works with powerline. I have loaded the latest routeos but I dont see anything in the POWERLINE1 interface/PLC page.
I am not able to let them work.
Do I miss something?

You need to connect the PowerLine device from Mikrotik to the hap lite.
Hap Lite has no PLC integrated.

I think you can do this over USB interface (won’t use an Ethernet port).

Powerline is an extension of ethernet over the electrical system of the house.
Later generations dealt with being on different circuits better and with interference better overall.

You need two devices at either end (plugged into the wall sockets directly, not power bars etc). Most powerline devices come in kit or set of TWO for that very reason.
The devices typically have one or two ethernet jacks to then attach networking equipment (routers, modems, switches, APs).
Some manufacturers combine a wifi device and switch so you have an instant AP at the switch location.

None of the MT devices are comprised of a combo of powerline plus something else, they are just straight powerline.
So the quick answer is the hapac lite does not have any built in powerline capabilities.

They do provide great flexilibity
Thinks MODEM -powerline1++++++++++++++++powerline2 - router. OR
modem-router-powerine1+++++++++++++++++powerline2-switch

You can have multiple powerlines such that the First powerline is feeding multiple powerlines

+++++++++++++powerline3-AP

Another option is adapters but using the RG6 coax to take advantage of existing wiring in the house.
The reason to use this approach is the better performance of coax adapters over powerline for longer distances.
