Hap lite classic configuration help

Hi all, i’m trying to understand if hAP lite classic is the right product for my needs.
I’m developing a machine with ethernet inside (3 connections max) with IP 172.16.22.0/24.
I need to have a wlan on the same network, and until this, no problem.

But this machine will be installed into offices and other places which have their own lan (and/or wifi)and i need to use them to connect to internet my machine.

So i need to configure one wan port for a cable connection to the office LAN and a WISP connection to the wireless lan.
I need that the first one is the “preferred” and the second one is only as backup.

Is this possible with this router?

Can someone explain me how to configure the double gateway (cabled WAN nd Wisp)?

thanks

Roughly only different distances in routing rules could be enough. Lower for the first and higher for the backup gateway.

Hi, I cofigured the router and the Wan part is working (first try with the lan and then with wifi).

To make this config work, i configure the wlan part as “station”, with the security profile of the available wireless lan.

But as station, the hap lite has not the Access Point active. How can i use it as station and in the same time have a wifi available? I read something about virtual ap… but i can not find it in the configuration.

thanks

Set Ap bridge first and then make a virtual client to it. See this:

http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Interface/Wireless#Virtual_interfaces

i read “Note: Starting from 6.35 only in wireless-rep or wireless-cm2 package”

how can i know if this package is installed on my hAP lite?
I have webfig v6.37.2 stable

This is not valid since 6.37 anymore. Only wireless package is enough in your version.

Ok. i set-up the ap (is working) and the virtual one configured as station, with the ssid of the available wireless lan and a security profile with the authentication data.

But the virtual ap still is in “searching for network” status.
I create the DHCP client on wlan2 interface.

You need to set correct frequency, protocol and ht stuff in order to get connected by client to Ap. Because you need to follow the distant Ap with it.

You are right, thank you…now I configure all the parameters as the remote AP, and now is connecting (connected to ess), the problem was the frequency.

I have another issue, with some wlan it works normally, but with two wlan (different AP brands) the client DHCP don’t works: "Status: searching… "

If I connect to this wlan with my laptop the dhcp is working normally. I check the leases and there are many free addresses.
