I have a hap lite that I am wanting to use as a simple access point / dummy switch. No DNS, no DHCP, no special routing, or anything like that. I’ve read that the easiest way to accomplish this was to use Quick Set to configure it to WISP AP in bridge mode. I’m using WinBox to try to make these changes, but it will not save. Country is colored red and the field just says “unknown”. I tried to click on the drop-down to change it from “unknown”, but there are no options to select. Where do I go to set this? Or do I need to update something before it will work? (Check For Updates says the installed version is 6.44.5.)
Other changes can be saved. I’ve reset the hap with and without default configurations, was able to create bridges, etc. I’m not sure if Country is red because of something I’ve done, or even if that is what is preventing me from saving certain things. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
did you make it work ? I have a same problem my haplite does not have or cant config my WLAN , same as you , red country , and no drop down , please reply if you make it work already
No, I was not able to get it to work yet. To be fair, I haven’t really had time to mess with it either though. Was hoping someone in this forum would swoop in for the rescue (or at least point me in the right direction), but I’ll probably just end up going a different direction. It’s a shame; this thing seemed to have a lot of potential.
