hAP lite (RB-941-2nD-TC) is dead after trying to install 6.38rc35

Hi,

Looks like my hAP is dead now. I tried numerous manuals from internet of how to recover it with NetInstall without success.
I tried different versions of NetInstall. I tried all 4 ports. I tried different ways of resetting device without any success.
I tried this one: http://www.wirelessinfo.be/index.php/mikrotik/pages/netinstalle

and many others. NetInstall don’t see my device. It is not a big deal since I bought it yesterday and can return it. But before return it I want to be sure it is totally dead.
Is there any other magic to make it boot with Netinstall?

No magic. Just keep pressing the button till it appears in netinstall. Use ether1 only. Are you sure you have enough rights and firewall with antivirus off on the pc?

Yes. I turned off my firewall. Started Netinstall with admin rights. I used my home Win7x64. Direct connection to router. hAP lite has 4 ports: 1 internet; 2,3,4 - ethernet ports. I must use ports #2? And hold reset button until it appear in Netinstall? How much time it take before If should appear in Netinstall? If it won’t appear is it dead? Since I trully believe I already did this a lot of times

Just tried again without success. My steps:

  1. Make sure that there is no network adapters except LAN (I turned off VirtualBox Host-Only network adapter)
  2. Configure network adapter to 192.168.1.10/24
  3. In netinstall under net booting I set IP to 192.168.1.11
  4. Connect lan cable to port number 2 (first LAN port)
  5. Turn router off, press reset button and hold it
  6. Turn router on, and keep holding reset button
  7. After 5 minutes of waiting there is nothing in Netinstall tool

I tried the same with port number 1 (WAN or internet port) - with same result.
My guess it is broken.

It’s problem with 6.38 rc and netinstall. I broked my crs 125 and only recovers from console serial

There is no serial port in hAP lite?
