hAPac² - Setup as AP and Manage DHCP

Hi, i got a hAPac² and to be honest i am quite a bit overwhelmed trying to find my way around.

Maybe someone can help me or point me in a general direction for my Problem:

I have two ISP’s here at home and two routers. One is my Office ISP with Router.
The other one is the “home ISP” Router which Serves IP TV for the family.

What i want to achieve is:

Have the hAP as my single point of contact for all my devices.
The hAP should provide the DHCP Lease to my LAN and WIFI.
Have one LAN Cable to one of my two routers, so in case my Main ISP for Office use dies, i can just put the cable in the other router and all is connected again.
Have the other lan cable connect to my switch, so two Lan Ports are used on the hAP

We recently had a failure with the Office ISP and i needed to put the Lan Kabel in the other ISP’s router.
Long story short, everything got messed up with the ip adresses, printers couldn’t print anymore etc.

Now i want the hAP to be my single point of contact with the LAN and WIFI. The hAP then is connected to the router for whichever ISP i use, so that the local LAN stays the same
and i only have to put the Cable into the one which works.

Networking Wise:

My Office Router has the Static IP 192.168.178.254
My Home Router has the Static IP 192.168.178.1
(i thought i could have that working, just by changing default gateways, but that does not work, because of devices that need to have the same ip)
All my Network uses the 192.168.178.0/24 Net.

Sorry, for the long explanation, but i thought it is better to be thorough with this.

Thank you all for your help, have a nice evening.

The easy solution is to ditch ONE HAPAC2 (or keep it ready with the same setup as a backup Router or use it as a switch if you need one)

Thats right use one hapac2 as the ONLY ROUTER behind the two ISP routers.
ether1 goes to ISP business
ether2 goes to ISP home

USE VLANS to separate needs within the home.
VLAN10 is work vlan
VLAN20 is home vlan
VLAN30 is guest vlan (for wifi guests for example)
VLAN40 is home IOT vlan
VLAN50 is home media vlan

The only complexity with this setup is having to ensure the right vlans use the right ISP for traffic.
There are several options.

not likely:

  1. Have ALL users use business ISP and then fail over to HOME ISP if the primary fails
  2. Have all users use the home ISP and then fail over to business IP if the primary fails
    more likely:
  3. You want VLAN10 to use business ISP full time
You want vlans 20 through 50 to use home ISP full time
IF either fails, the other ISP becomes available - note anything besides normal internet would not be possible (thinking Television not available from business ISP)
  4. Other option???

    etc…
One bridge, all vlans with bridge as interface.
    Define vlans
    Define interface Bridge ports
    Define interface Bridge vlans
