hAPax3 drops internet when device reconnects

I’m having an ongoing issue with my hAPax3 where devices waking from sleep/Airplane/changing wifi (iMac via ethernet, laptop via wireless, Playstation via ethernet, etc) connect to the network but sometimes can’t access internet. The solution is to unplug/replug or turn device wifi off/on to get the device to work again. Needless to say this is incredibly frustrating.

I have used Quick Setup and nothing custom. Tried setting DNS in ax3 to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 but still happens.

Notes on an occurrence:

  • Specific to a device, i.e. internet can be working on another device when this happens.
  • Woke iMac up from sleep and couldn’t connect to websites. Google.com in browser doesn’t load.
  • Pinging 8.8.8.8 from iMac works.
  • Pinging router from iMac works.
  • Can log into router’s admin interface.
  • nslookup 8.8.8.8 from iMac doesn’t work.
  • Unplugging ethernet and plugging straight back in fixes issue immediately.

Any ideas what it could be or where I should start investigating? Would my ax3 be faulty? It’s driving me insane.

When the 5ghz network first fires up on mine it does a 1 minute DFS check, but thats usually upon first deployment.
Should not have to do anything with devices waking or not waking up, so probably something else.
