I am new to using MikroTik, but have heard they make quality products. I bought the newest version of the HapLite home wireless router and was being used as my home router. I was adding some port forwarding to allow it to work with xbox live more efficiently. In the middle of adding a port (Never got to apply the change I was making therefore this is not due to a change I made), I was disconnected from the router setting page and was enable to connect back (This was wirelessly). While trying to connect to the IP address, I would time out and be unable to connect. I tried physically wiring the unit to my windows laptop - It was unable to detect any connection, nor was I able to log into router settings. I have tried steps to reset the device to factory settings via the button on the back of the unit. This is not working either. I put the device in net install mode - but net install is not able to detect the device. Is this unit bricked?
This unit still puts out a wireless signal with the original settings I have set up (even after completing the correct steps to reset the device to factory default). I am able to connect to the wireless device, but the internet does not work - nor can I connect to the device to change the settings.
Thanks for any advice you have to offer - please save my wireless
