We use two routerboard devices at a time for fail-over where (reasonably) reduced throughput is acceptable. We have used 2011s to back up 1100AH2 hot spot controllers, and the CRS has the same processor as the 2011 - so it ought to work just as well, right? (Yes, we have had live failures and live recoveries.)
My question is: Would the switch architecture of the CRS interfere with performance if we had several groups of switched ports (bridge groups) spanning 2 to 8 ports on the CRS?
