Hardware idea for a Wireless network in a soccer field

Hi everyone

I’m trying to figure out what’s the best Mikrotik hardware in order to fit this specifications:

  • Outdoor (see the picture below)

  • 2.4 / 5 GHz

  • Omnidirectional (see the picture below)

  • It must support streaming from cameras, so at least WIFI 5

Nice to have

  • LTE Modem Included

Are you looking for full coverage of the entire field , certain parts of the field or just the stadiums ?

What the poster above said - how much of that area are you looking to cover with WiFi? Indoors? Outdoors? Both?

Sarebbe carino tu rispondessi a chi ti scrive…

Hi and thanks for the quick reply

We would like to cover the stands in front of as well as behind both the goalkeepers.

Thanks

I’ve just highlighted the spot in which we would like to have a strong WIFI signal to install WIFI Cameras

Cameras are gonna be powered right? Power requires a wire. Why not wire?

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOALLLLLLLLLLL!!!

Ma che ti salta in mente di mettere delle telecamere wifi in paese per rompere il sasso a gli altri, e gli altri lo romperanno a te…

Cameras gonna be wired with PoE.

But we still need wifi for smartphones: they can become wifi cameras as well. So this is why we need a good access point.

You change requirements. You want good WiFi for smartphones not, for constant streaming from PoEpowered cameras.
Despite this you can install CAPSMAN +

there are a lot of models to choose from https://mikrotik.com/products/group/wireless-systems

You can always add more APs to the network.

I recommend using Mikrotik Wireless Wire Cube for PtP. If you need to get a feed across a noisy area… 60 ghz it like having a wire.

However… Mikrotik serving client wifi devices… Outside… Amongst interference… And needing to maintain a video stream.

Absolutely not.
