Hardware reset on routerboard 532r5

Hi,
I’ve just recived the new rb532r5 how can I reset routerOS to default settings?

On the old version there was the reset jumper (JP1), now the same jumper doesn’t work…

Thanks you!!!

it does work, you have to short-circuit the two sides of the JP1 connector. why do you need this feature anyway?

Hi Normis,
in case of wrong settings, should be useful an hardware reset, I’m using routerboard in a waterproof enclosure, I would like to have a small reset switch outside..

so, you mean: short circuit on jp1, then press reset button right?

thanks!

I’ve tried on some RB532r5, no one seems to reset the configuration.
Do anyone tried hardware reset?

thanks

there is no reset button on the RB532, simply short-circuit the two sides of the JP1 while rebooting the routerboard. take a paperclip, connect the two sides of JP1, hold the paperclip in place, and then reboot the board.

edit: we just found that in some cases this feature does not function, we will work on a software fix!

Hey Normis,

Any news on the software fix yet?
