has anyone played with rxa-txb / txa-rxb antenna modes?

The manual states (and thats all):

antenna-mode (ant-a | ant-b | rxa-txb | txa-rxb; default: ant-a) - which antenna to use for transmit/receive data:
ant-a - use only antenna a
ant-b - use only antenna b
rxa-txb - use antenna a for receiving packets, use antenna b for transmitting packets
txa-rxb - use antenna a for transmitting packets, antenna b for receiving packets

Has anyone played with these modes, what radio cards are supported?

Using separate antennas should get you a better receive signal when the card is transmitting.. I’m interested to hear any real-world feed back whether it is worth using two antennas on a base station.

Cards are half-duplex. They don’t receive while transmitting. This is used for diversity in other devices. Here is it good if you need a higher gain RX antenna than allowed for TX.

That’s what I’ve used them for. Works fine, and the local big brother is happy I’m not frying any birds.

as requested by the first post, anyone able to advise if they’ve done this with an ap and noted if there’s been an improvement?

bump a 6-year old post? seriously?

And not even bother reading the replies where the question was answered? seriously?

Yes, rather than creating a new topic for one that has already been created and “works fine” isn’t much info and doesn’t mention anything about any improvement.
