HDBase-T protocol

Hello guys, I’m new in mikrotik and simply love this products! I’m from Brazil!

I’m now at a new project in my company (I’m a partner in a home automation company) and has a new challenge.

Nowdays we have a new techonlogy in the home/media market called HDBase-T (to more information: http://www.hdbaset.org/ ). It’s a new technology consist in send HDMI signal (audio, video, 3D image, IP and POWER) over a simple cat5/6e cable over 100 or 300 meters to one receptor (TV, Projectors, Monitors, whatever). In these points (video sender and video receiver) has a “dongle” or hardware interface do enconde and decode this code HDBase-T.

Ok, here a challenge: This technology are not exactly TCP/IP and we need a switch to share this signalprotocol to other points…

I guess the routerboards can switch or route this protocol easily, but need some help or idea!

Some people report switching HDBase-T in on soho common switcher but, this protocol “blind” another protocols like TCP/IP in the same switch without a HDBase-T “dongle” at the points…

Can someone help with these questions? Maybe the power of mikrotik can solve this problem at all switching and routing HDBase-T and TCP/IP im the same product?

thanks in advance
