Is there an option to turn off hard disk after some period of inactivity? I couldn’t find this in manual or in winbox. I know other linux boxes do this, m0n0wall, for example.
My hard disk is too loud and i want to switch it off after mikrotik booting, anyone knows any way to do this? My bios doesn’t have standby-time options.
RouterOS does not provide any similar options for harddrive management.

Use flash drive to silent the noise from harddrive or use RouterBOARD (that does not produce any noise at all).
