HDMI extender kills Wi-Fi

Since i installed a pair of HDMI to Ethernet extender (model: HEX120) via ethernet cable, devices can’t connect to Wi-Fi.
There is Wi-Fi signal, and offers connection, but every type of device dropped from wireless network immidiately. Cable connected devices works fine.

From the log:
caps, info: “[MAC] disconnected, extensive data loss”
dhcp, info: “[NAME] deassigned [IP] to [MAC]”
caps, info: “[MAC] disconnected, recieved disassoc: sending station leaving”

HDMI extender uses HdbitT transfer protocol, and gets ip from DHCP if these are useful info at all.
Before the extender everything worked perfectly.
Any idea?

Return the HDMI extender?
Get another one that does not use the ethernet “network” but a bare UTP cable only for this purpose.
I use the latter method, it works without any image deterioration and with much lower latency.

Am not really sure why this happens and if it can be fixed…
You could just use a bare UTP as suggested in a previous post…

Thank you for the suggestions. If replacing the extender wont work i’m switching to a bare UTP.

I have good results with the Navceker ZY-HT205P extender on a separate UTP cable (it does not use ethernet or IP! so it cannot be combined with network)
These are available from AliExpress on the “Navceker Official Store”.

We have good experience with HDMI fiber cables. These are available with length up to 100m.

The extender probably sends out broadcast packets or some non-standard stuff that floods the LAN so much it’s unusable.
Solution is to put it into separate VLAN. You can use VLAN filtering rules to direct where these packets will be allowed to go (certainly not WIFI) and even if extender uses some very non-standard packets, it will be completely separate from your other traffic, just eating some bandwidth of course…
