Help 3 RouterBOARD 411AR with WDS

Hi ppl!
It’s my first time with this equipment and I’m having some troubles with my configuration!
My goal is to connect 3 411Ar’s with WDS and WPA security.
Somehow i’ve maneged to connect everything but someting strange is happening .

When I test the system with Mikrotik Bandwidth the AP2 sometimes collapse and reboot!

Here’s my configuration!

My last change was to put every AP in AP BRIDGE MODE and wds dinamic! I’ve blocked on AP3 the connection with AP1 on Connect LIST. But the problem is there! If I push to much (file transfer between pc and streaming) the system sometimes collapse.

All Ap’s have only one ANTENNA OMNI Mikrotik Swivel Antenna Ufl, and the on-board wireless.

One more thing I’m testing this on the same division, every signal is high!

Last thing !!

The connection is something like this Ap1 connects to Ap2 and this with Ap3
With my computer connect by cable to AP1 and if I try Mikrotik Bandwidth to AP3 the speed is this :

AP1 AP2 AP3

TX/RX Rate 15Mbps/12 10/9 6/5

Is this normal ? The speed is getting slower from ap to ap .


What’s you suggestion to my configuration?

Instead of connecting all three with WDS, I would suggest you add an R52 radio card to each RB/411AR and use that to connect them together. 5GHz would be a good idea to avoid interference and that would free up 2.4GHz for the APs.

The problem with your set-up is that WDS cuts down on throughput since the APs are very busy acting as repeaters. That is why your bandwidth test through several APs slows down as the traffic builds.
