I’ve purchased two MikroTik hAP ac Lite devices (US version) to use for a network project that I’m working on. I’m very frustrated in that I cannot connect to either device. When I plug in either device, it powers on and both the usr and power lights stay lit. When I search for “MikroTik” devices on my WiFi, I see no devices with that SSID. I’ve tried to connect directly to the device with an ethernet cable and my computer finds no route to the device. I’ve tried both DHCP and manual IP address (my computer set to 192.168.88.10, netmask 255.255.255.0, and gateway 192.168.88.1). Neither attempt connects to either device. I’ve even changed ethernet cables and tried a different laptop (Windows 11 and Ubuntu OSes). I downloaded winbox64 on my laptop and tried to connect directly to the device (using multiple ports) and it will never detect any devices. Any suggestions on how to test these devices?
Did you plug into ether2, ether1 is by default the WAN.
Also some useful info here.

Try a factory reset. Start with power off and button held. Apply power count off 5-6 seconds while watching USR led. Led should start to flash by 6 seconds. Release button. Do not hold button in for more than 8 seconds.
When button is released router should reboot with factory defaults.
Had a similar issue after being kicked out by…well let’s call it “Firewall-Issues”…
The mentioned Reset-Method by @w32pamela WILL work to reset to a factory state.
After this the device should be visible (at least via MAC-Address) with WinBox when connected to LAN other than LAN1.
Good Luck!
