Help me choose hardware for my home

Hi all,

Sorry for bardging in with what may be a simple question.
I am a complete beginner when it comes to MikroTik, but have a great desire to start using it.

Here is my situation:
ROOM 1

DSL.
Plugged into a modem provided by the ISP.
Next to it a TV box connected to the modem an ethernet cable.
From the modem another ethernet cable going into Room 2.

ROOM 2
One ethernet cable coming from the modem and going into the second TV box.

What I would like to do:
In room 2 I would like to still have a connection to the tv box.
But also to have a DSL/mobile AP.
So that it first repates the DSL network - providing better Wi Fi signal in that part of the house.
And also to aceppt a SIM card so that I can also have a 4G network over WiFi.

Is there anything that can do this?
Ideally a device that gets 1 ethernet cable in, acts as a switch to have one ethernet cable out go to TV box.
Repeates the DSL network over WiFi. Creates another WiFi from SIM card.

I hope I managed to explain.
Thank you very much for your time and advice.

I attach a schema. I’m not sure if I understand your requirement.

Regards.

Amazing.
Yes. You got it right. Exactly like that. Brilliant.
Thanks a lot.

So all I need is a switch and wAP.

Switch + wAP is only a option. LtAP and LtAP mini also comes with Wi-Fi integrated. Also exists the RBM33G that comes with 3x Gigabit Ethernet (With this you can remove the switch) and 2x miniPCIe slots (one for LTE and the another for Wi-Fi for example).

Also you can replace the common switch for a HEX PoE to get administration and power on wAP (or that you want) using PoE (To config this, you must create a bridge and assign all ports to it. Optionally you can add static IP to bridge interface in range 192.168.1.x) to administration porpuses. That’s all). Also is an option.

Anyway the most important is choose the LTE module that are compatible with your operator and don’t forget the LTE module if the device that you choose not comes with it.

Regards.

And don’t forget that if you lack LOS (line-of-sight) to the tower from your LTE equipment and you are behind a lot of walls, you may want to consider the mANT LTE 5o external antenna which has a higher gain than the standard internal antenna, as well as the ability to be mounted and directed at the tower, external to your CPE. If you go with the external antenna, be sure you bought the right RouterBOARD device that supports external antennas (i.e. LtAP LTE6/LTE/4G, etc). You will need 2 x ACSMAUFL and 2 x SMASMA for the antenna. MikroTik has some guides for devices without external antenna ports like with the LtAP mini but they require some DIY handiwork.

Great advice.
I’m really greatful to you both for your help.
You got me motivated now to learn more and build a better setup.

I have a similar setup.

I have tied the LTE-interface to a separate VRF and separate VLAN. That VLAN ends up in my main router, where it can be used as backup if needed.
