Everything started with ‘I want a decent router’; now I want to set up a brand new network.
I need 6-7 (Gigabit) Ethernet ports and both 5 and 2.4GHz coverage. Average client number is 12-15, on 3 vLANs (one of these is a guest with captive portal that I preferably set on both wired and wireless).
I would like to buy a RB3011UiAS-RM, what do you think about that?
I just need 1 PoE AP, wall mounted (no idea if changing - I’m actually using a TP-Link EAP245).
At the moment my only network device is a NAS, but I would like to upgrade that too in a few months (anyone said FreeNAS?).
RB3011 and a WAP AC would be a perfect combo for this. The WAP could power from port10 of the RB3011 also.
