Help needed for setting up 2GHz-10Mhz / 5 MHz mode

Hi all,

How to setup 2GHz-10MHz and or 2GHz-5MHz ?
I just try with two mikrotik.. one as AP Bridge and another one as Station, both using atheros chipset, using the same band, scan list=2400-2500 and country=no_country_set BUT with no luck.

Perhaps there are some hidden trick to do it ?

TIA

Paul

Go to Status
and post what shown on it.
RX/TX Signal , CCQ, and others..

:sunglasses:

On AP Bridge side… the bottom line said running AP
On Station side.., the botoom line said searching for network

The config on AP.. Band : 2GHz-10MHz, frequency 2407, country : no_country_set
The config on Station.. Band : 2GHz-10MHz, frequency 2407, scan-list=2400-2500, country= no_country_set

When we click scan on station, it shows…

  • testlink 2407 -36
  • testlink 2457 -86
both with the same mac address.

Why there are two lines with the same ssid and mac address but different frequencies ?

BUT when the Band of both sides change into 2.4GHz B/G or 2.4GHz-only-G, it works fine. Status on Station side shows that the signal from an AP is -36dB and scan only show 1 line.

Any clues please…

Paul

Please check the miniPCI.
As far as i knew, R52, R52H, NMP8602 support to use 5Mhz spacing and 10Mhz spacing.
Perhaps the miniPCI didnt support it.

at AP Bridge side, we use RB532 with WLM54G
at Station side we use PC with DOM plus PCI to PCMCIA and DLink DWL-G650

Both of them were tested for normal and super channel.
BUT has no luck for 2GHz-10MHz/5MHz yet.

WLM54G’s are the only cards I haven’t been able to use 5/10mhz mode on. I would try another card.

Really ?

Previously I found that this card does not compatible with RB502 (does not know RB564 yet). And now… does not support 2GHz-10MHz/5MHz..

Seems that I was put the wrong choice to this card.
