I have two routers. One is a MT 2.8 and the other is a Cisco PIX 515. I had a PIX 501 in at my remote office, with the IP of 192.168.7.x, but I have now put in a MT to allow QoS on IP phones and such.
The problem is I have setup the peer, and the proposal, but they both have exclmation points in the Winbox, and I don’t know how to start the tunnel?
Any help would be good!
I am receving ISAKMP packet from my PIX 515 , then it says phase 1, idenity protetion
I have a pix 515 connecting to a routeros box version 2.8.
I have had problems getting the the tunnel to stay up.
I get the tunnel up but once the SA’s time out or run out the tunnel drops and does not recreate for hours.
If you get anywhere please post what setting you used as I would be intrested
Please post some of your current pix config and routeros settings I wil take a look, see if I can help.
I was thinking of just trying to pass a L2TP connection or a IPIP connection though my PIX515, and drop it at my 2.8 MT box I use at my main office. Might be faster/better and more stable. Plus, I am going to have multiple connections down at my remote office. The PIX won’t allow the same IPSEC to come from several IPS so.
