Help on deciding RB-133C/RB-532A.

I’m planning to bridge our buildings as following:
A <–~1km–> B <–~2km–> C
Where’s: A & C as follow…
RB-133C + NMP3602 + 24 dBi Grid (Station mode+IPSec VPN client)
And B:
RB-532A + CM9 + 15dBi Omni (AP mode+IPSec VPN server [effectively handle 2 VPN tunnels])

The traffic would be daily transaction data and occasionally streaming surveillance camera (A->B, C->B).
From what I’ve read, it seems the RB-133C would not be (powerful) enough for this purpose. Am I right? If so, then if I changed all the routerboard to RB-532A, would it work fine or do I really need PC for VPN?
Really appreciate any opinions.

TIA.

I dont like to spend company’s money before knowing it will work, so I really appreciate any comment about this one.

Anyone?
TIA.

Hi,

RB500 should be fast enough. I would use Rootenna.
Cabling ethernet is much easier than coax.
Price difference to RB-133 is not worth to think about
it for a company-link.

Stefan

Thx for your opinion.

Unfortunately, it was already over budget with just 2 sets of RB-133+appropriate antenna. I didnt realized the diff-in-price between 100 and 500 series is large (for the company anyway). So the RB-133s will be on hand for testing and setting up.

It’s the same price for RB-552A and RB-333, but the latter is 2½ times faster.

Yeah, read about it on the sticky thread. Definitely the RB-333 will be an awesome product. If the company wont buy it, I’ll personally will! :stuck_out_tongue:
