With two RB333 + XR5 and 2 iperf PC to generate tcp traffic, I obtain:
52,3 Mbps TCP troughput (87% cpu) with WDS-bridge configuration
40 Mbps TCP troughput (70% CPU) with 3 point to point subnets
The strange thing is about CPU usage: 70 %. The poor performances is not a missing CPU power issue.
I have to realize a grid shaped, mesh hiperlink network. This network needs a 45mbps TCP troughput and some link could loose some time. My idea was to use OSPF to make the network react on link loss.
The network will be composed about 22 RB each of them with its radio (no more then one radio x RB).
finally, my questions/ipothesis:
- is there any special setting or configuration to enhance routing performance?
- OSPF and routing is a bad idea and is better to implement a different or layer2 adaptive mesh link strategy.
- RB333 is not for this task born, better a RB600.
