Hi, since my father retired and had to return his work Mikrotik switchboard and dongle, he decided to stick with the brand and buy Mikrotik device, this time with integrated dongle.
However he was unable to set it up and connect to the internet and neither was I – particularly as router became irresponsive. It’s been few years that I needed to set up a router and I never had Mikrotik, so I have no idea about possible pecularities. According to manual, solution was to unplug it, get out SIM card, wait and plug it back insert SIM card, but that doesn’t seem to work at all and I can’t even ping it.
Pinging 192.168.88.1 with 32 bytes of data:

Originally, it was accessible on IP 192.168.88.1 - that one is no longer working. At first it showed “General failure”, hower that was resolved after reseting TCP/IP (netsh int ip reset) nad notebook as well. Currently it “just time out”.

So I need help with:
- get access to router again
- set i t up, so it connects to internet.
EDIT 1.0: I have managed to find out the device is supposed to be reset into factory setting by holding reset button prior powering up. It worked, and so now I have again access into QuickSet. However despite it seems to load up the SIM card, there is no access to internet - ping to 8.8.8.8 results in timeout.
