I am having a very odd problem with my mikrotik based isp. we are having customers that have been working fine for some time, starting to complain about transfer rate issues. we had a few customers that had this issue in the past and we thought that it was a signal streanth issue, so we replaced the radio card with a xr5 600mw card. that seemed to fix the problem at those sites. but then we started seeing the same issue start to happen at other locations that have excellent signal. on a side note, at the sites that are having the issues, they seem to be effected only during the day (8am-6pm). the transfer rate gets as bad as dial up, and even no connectivity durring the day, but some locations get good connection after 6pm. there were no changes made to those links, and the issue just started up on its own out of the blue. the wierd thing is, it all started when we fixed the same issue at the orriginal locations with the radio card replacement. the problem sites all have the new radio cards installed, so we have already tried that fix with no luck. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!!!
8 to 6 huh. Someone goes to work and fires up their PC riddled with PvP. Torrents you to a standstill. Goes home at 6, shuts it down and service goes back to normal.
shrug Maybe.
Can you torch the affected devices when the trouble is happening?
I have tried limiting the data to all users, to no avail. the newest thing is that all users are getting dial-up speed even in the hours when they were working ok. This is getting frustrating!!! I have customers that are wanting this fixed, or they are going to cancel service. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!
What is on the other end of this connection? 600mw transmitter there also?
No, the other end is 350. The problem was an issue before the 600 radio cards were installed.
