the true step is secret

uncheck ‘Cache on disk’ and check the speed of cache. 200GHz is quite enough, but 200MHz for cache may be too slow =)

iM sory my cpu speed its 2.00Ghz ..its enough or not??

it’s quite enough. what’s with memory-only cache?

p.s. do you have some queues on the router?

iM enable cache on same HD with mikrotik system only

iM setup hotspot.. so ..only hotspot dynamic queues be on router and only when user login

but what if you enable cache and uncheck ‘Cache on Disk’?

Celeron at 2.66Ghz hits 100% all the time with a 40GB of cache…I’ve replace with a dual core now and its fine under 40%

Dear ameer basim, please try to use proper English, it will get you help much faster and easier. And could you please post screenshots of the proxy settings and status in WinBox as well as screenshots of what you consider to be the problem? Thanks!

Everyone using x86 PCs with RouterOS should first test the system with stress tests, memory tests, for example Win32+Stressprime 2004 Orthos to properly stress the CPU+RAM, etc etc. After confident that system is stable, then proceed with using RouterOS on it*

Thank you for the useful insight. I must add that Proxy CPU usage depends on number of connections, or in other words - number of users browsing at the same time.

Please see this thread as well, maybe it can help with proxy storage understanding.

*(I had cases system unstable under Win but stable under RouterOS because RotuerOS does not load drivers for a lot of hardware that is on the platform… like sound etc)

offcourse…the more users use the network the more cpu is needed.

ok that is my
