Help!! urgent Thank you Done

Hi Guys

I add all my 240 routerboard manually to the Dude system for the beginning was fine. But now it is all the routerboard i add became red and “winbox was timeout” but i still can see from router OS window for each routerboard

Thank you

Try SSH Telnet or the web interface to get in.

If you are running 3.25 perhaps you have a problem which we are seeing where you simply can’t access the router any more and need to reboot. It seems that the RB loses contact with the drive (flash or hdd) in this situation and loses passwords and usernames etc. If you can get winbox to run, try logging in with admin and no password.

Hi Paul

Thank you for answer

my router os is 3.25 and 3.20 some is 3.19 my Dude install is 3.4

I till can double clink the drive and use tool winbox to go to the routerboard although the drive show is red and in service window show the winbox is timeout and Http time out and telnet timeout. they are all OK but only in Dude show they are red and Failed to connected

i don’t know why

Thank you

and from history i can see some time is working some time not

So if you add the ping service to be monitored for that device, does it timeout as well ?
Perhaps you may just have a busy link to the device which is causing everything to timeout.
This often causes the gaps in the graphs like you have, and if that is the response time for winbox checks then I would say it’s your problem. If this is the case, you will need to fix your link to get rid of the latency or increase the timeout values of your services so that you can actually get a result back in an amount of time that works.

Thank you Paul

That is really helpful.i think so they have a busy traffic every time they link make rx693dps.

Ping is ok for all of site

i setting the connection interval to 00:05:00 and connection timeout to 00:00:05 in router OS in server configeration but The Dude is connecting to all site at same time. so i believe this maybe the problem?

could you tell me how can i sitting them connect to the routerboard one by one?

thank you

Harry

Harry, what is the ping response time ?
I’m sorry I don’t understand what you mean when you say
“could you tell me how can i sitting them connect to the routerboard one by one?”

Also, try increasing the timeout to 10s, it may help if your link is busy.
I think what you might mean in your previous comment is that you are polling all of your devices at the same time, this is fine and normal, if your link that you are monitoring across is too busy, the only option really is to setup Dude servers/agents at your sites or increase your link capacity really.

Sorry

i don’t know why even i can’t ping the site. before is fine and i still can use winbox to connect to the routerboard.

could you tell me how can i setting Dude connect to the routerboard one by one(Dude is connecting to all site at same time.)?

I runing other dude on other computer it has 90 routerboard on it. it ok all routerboard are connect

the setting Anything are same

Thank you

Harry

You can’t make it ping like that as far as I know, it pings at the intervals you tell it to and is multithreaded, so I don’t believe you can do that.

I am monitoring about 250 devices on one machine at the same time, and doing SNMP probes, graphing, etc and there are no real issues.
Bandwidth to/from your management box should be good quality otherwise your results will suffer.

HI Paul

All working All good

i export the site from the Dude and import to other Computer that just install the Dude.

And Now they are all working.

Don’t know Why

Thank you

Harry

Perhaps you had a corrupt Dude database.

Glad it’s all working now.

Paul

I had gaps in my graphs like that until I set the dude to high priority.
