Help using ddns script

I tried the ddns script with Changeip.com

The problem is, my ethernet interface is behing a ADSL modem. So, the result of my updates give as an address 10.0.0.1 (private addr of my ethernet) and not the public IP (dynamic) address assigned to the modem.

Is there any way to obtain it ?

Other question, is it possible to run /tool dns-update without the “address=” parameter, because in this case changeip.com assumes that my ip address is the one that they detect which is always the correct one.

Can you set your IP to 127.0.0.255 on updates ? We will then throw out the sent IP and detect the public.
