Hello guys, I have a RB3011 and I configured an l2tp server on it, with ip sec. I would like to create a connection on windows10 to access this vpn to use a network folder. Everything works, but on windows10 it changes the external ip and stays with the company, does anyone know how to adjust?
I would like to use vpn and continue browsing on my home ip, not on the company internet
Remember to uncheck the “Use default gateway on remote network” setting!
(In Windows10, click Start, type ncpa.cpl, right-click your VPN connection, click properties, Networking tab, Select TCP/IP v4 Properties, click Advanced Settings button, check the first tab)
OK, I made this configuration on my windows 10 and apparently it worked, it’s only on windows10 right on mikrotik all right?
You don’t need to change anything on the Mikrotik.
This problem occurs because Microsoft chose a very poor default setting for Windows. But that’s life. We have to deal with it!
