Help with 8 RB433 setup+Allied Telesis 8000S/24 POE

So i have something like: AP1, AP2, AP3, AP4, AP5, AP6, AP7, AP8.

AP3, AP5, AP6, AP7 - working like a charm. All ok: poe, etc.

AP1, AP2, AP4, AP8 - imagine im pluggin AP8 in switch. all ok. then i try plug AP1: AP8 imediately dies, AP1 follows - continuos amber color on switch’s POE led indicator. Same goes with any other of this 4 APs. AP2 in, all ok. Try AP4 - boom, ap2 dies, same ap4. Any other possible combination between those 4 same results: POE failure.

Is it possible that faulty wiring to cause such problems?

If yes, how come that INDIVIDUALLY they work?!

Is it possible that Allied Telesis 8000S/24 POE switch to have limitation on power output and only 5 aps can work at the time?

Any suggestions?!

Looking at spec for this PoE switch, it can deliver up to 180Watts. Multiply the power requirement for each AP. Is this more than 180W? If yes, then I am not surprised that the PoE switch is turning off PoE ports. This is normal behaviour to protect PSU from overloading. You can usually go into the settings for the PoE switch and change the priority of which APs are turned off before others. But I am not familiar with this specific model.

Sounds like your switch is not puting out enough power. Use standalone POE injectors from pac wireless, mikrotik, or ubnt with a previous generation brand name switch. You’ll get far greater reliability.
