Help with BGP Weight

I have a /24 of public IP Addresses. I have 2 upstream ISPs and have successfully advertised my IP block to them via BGP sessions. Everything is working nicely, one ISP goes down my /24 stays up. Great.

One ISP has a 10Gbps connection and one has a 1Gbps connection. I’m not strong on BGP, my understanding is that I can put a “weight” on one of the routes and it will be preferred. I cannot figure out how to that in Router OS 7.

Any advice is appreciated.

Use local-pref in the filters

Add the “set bgp-weight” to your current filters.

Something like:
/routing filter rule
add chain=bgp-in-isp1 rule=“set bgp-weight 200; accept”
add chain=bgp-in-isp2 rule=“set bgp-weight 100; accept”
