We have a routerboard 1100H amd two alviron WBSn-2540 access points and we were sold this stuff so we could use the mikrotik to be the controller to manage simultaneous connections to these access points. OUr vendor who was going to help set this up went out of business (alviron) and now I don’t know how to replicate the setup they had talked about and showed me a demo of.
The setup was very simple
the controller would have to vlan’s for each access point one was password protected and one open. the sessions on the vlans would be rate limited to about 1meg and only 100 connections would be allowed on one vlan and 100 connections on the other.
I cannot figure out how to create the access points on the routerboard and connect them to the alvirons and controll them. The vendor had said all configuration would happen on the mikrotik and not the alviron.
This is probably really simple, can anyone point me in the right direction.
