sorry I was not clear with what I need. I have a wrap 2e that I would like to install mikotik on I read in the list of hardware on this site that people are using this boad with mikrotik. I would like to know how to install the software that I have on this boad I am very new at this. please help
you have to use Netinstall to put RouterOS on a compact flash. Then use the flash in the board you have. Netinstall can be found on the mikrotik.com download page, along with packages for x86 boards. Run Netinstall, choose the CF card that will appear (of course you have to attach the card to a PC with some kind of USB reader) and install.
I write the contents of a disc-image to a cd with InftraRecorder. This unpacked all the files to a cd. I install this with Netinstall all of the files istall, but the [/b]isolinux[/b] folder will not install.The board will not boot. What do I need to do next???
We will check the CD image, but for now - take the HDD and put into a Windows machine as a secondary drive, then use Neinstall to install RouterOS onto it. Then move HDD back to the router and try to use it.
