Help with network which frequently drops connections

Hey guys, I am new to this forum and I apologize in advance if I am posting this question in the wrong category!

I am a resident at a place which uses Mikrotik tech to provide wireless internet access, however for some reason the network frequently fails. Either the internet will be painfully slow or will disconnect completely. Despite being very close and within sight of an antenna, and my computer showing a decent signal, the network is extremely unreliable. This is a recurring, constant problem across the entire property and experienced by everyone who attempts to use the network, not just me. One thing I’ve noticed, oddly, is that the internet connection actually seems more unreliable the closer you are to a building with an antenna…

Are there any kind of diagnostics or other information I can provide that might help you in giving me some advice about how to remedy this problem? I am not the network guy and don’t have access to the router etc, but I am at least somewhat computer savvy…honestly I don’t believe there is anyone on staff that maintains this network. If there’s anything I can do to help make it better, I hope you can help me!!! If you can tell me what I need to do maybe I can get authorization to work on it and get it working properly…thanks so much again, I really appreciate your time and help.

There won’t be anything you can do without access to the network. While it is of course possible to forcibly gain access, that will also delete all other settings on the device you’re resetting access passwords on, which would bring the network down. So step one is to get authorization - unfortunately that is an issue no one here can help you with. It would probably be best to start with building management.
