Help with Notifications

I am using the Dude to monitor our network. We use all MT Ap’s and multiple types of cpe. I have set each AP to use these services (ping, cpu and disk) within the dude. All cpe are set to use services (ping only). How can I use notifications to know if these services fail. If ping fails on cpe while im looking at the dude local map, I can see the image changes to red, if it works then it is green. I would like to know how to make a sound, repeating when these services fail. Has anyone got this to work?

With the map open, click on Settings (the one along the top of the map, not the one in the top left corner).

Switch to the Polling tab.
Tick (on) “Use Notifications”
place a checkbox next to the notifications you want to use or create your own.

Thank you andreacoppini, the beeps are now working, but I still have more questions about its features. Each device on the map, such as an ap, also has a polling tab, should I click on use Notifications there too? How do the notifications work? If any service fails, the notifications enable, or can you set only certian types of notifications to work? Confusing I know, I will try to clarify my questions. Lets say I have an AP, it has three services running, cpu, disk and ping. If cpu is unknown, is there a way to make that a different sound than if the ping service fails or is unknown?

The settings you have specified in the Map Settings window are global. In other words, if ANYTHING happens on that map, that notification will do what it has to do (beep, send an e-mail, etc).

If you want a specific alert for a specific device’s service, you need to use the Notifications on the device’s services window.

Thanks for the insight, I will continue my testing on such notifications with your help.
