Form router 3 i can ping 210.13.1.0 and from router router 1 i can ping 192.168.1.0 . All good. However when i add a pc on either side 210.13.1.1(gateway 210.13.1.0) and 192.168.1.1(gateway 192.168.1.0) they cannot ping each other.
210.13.1.0/28 is a network address. You have to assign .1 to the router, and .2 to the PC (or choose other host addresses off either). It’s the same problem with the other router. While IP addresses ending in .0 can be host IP addresses, on the specific subnets you’re implementing .0 can never be a host (routers are also hosts). I do not mean the following in an unkind way, but you should read some basic material on subnetting and TCP/IP before continuing with OSPF.
Was up till late with this one and must have had a blond moment when i was busy with this lab setup. I changed it to .1/24 for each router and .2/24 for the corresponding PC, however still no luck. Eventually got the lab setup to work, turned out my laptop on the one side needed a reboot…stupid windows
