Help with setup.

Hi All,

I just got my new hardware and I feel that I’m in over my head. I would greatly appreciate some help on how to get my setup working.

Hardware:
ISP media box connects to mikrotik hex s (ethernet 1) WAN.
I connect my pc to ethernet 2 (setup op adresses and NAT) rules. The internet Works… So far so good.

I connect an ubiquiti 8 port switch to ethernet 3. The switch has a wireless access point + an additional switch connect in a different part of my house.

I am trying to get access to my wireless access point but I can’t connect to it. I have a feeling that my LAN settings are not correct or that my ethernet 2 and ethernet 3 aren’t connected somehow.

Are there some basic settings I am missing? Let me know if I need to share a log/screenshot of certain settings.

Yes, two things.

  1. a network diagram is always helpful to see what you are attempting. (also good to know if access points or switches in the network are vlan capable).
