Is the first router(1) the only router and the others are acting as access points and switches??
Why do you need multiple router boxes? I have one Mtik router in my office with multiple vlans. APs are mikrotik and unifi. Switches are mikrotik and unifi as well.
One vlan for office, one for guest. One cannot see the other once they are segregated via vlan with proper firewall rules.
Yes, he is routing, while the other two act as AP and switches.
Router 1 is on ground floor, router 2 is on first floor, router 3 is on second floor.
One AP would not be enough, considering the house is huge and reinforced concrete walls do not help with signal boost ![]()
So, router 1 is main router, has DHCP Server and NAT, while the other routers act as AP and switch.
Why did you buy Mikrotik with no networking experience or knowledge??
Do you have configs for the three units you can post to see what you have accomplished so far??
Sorry for late reply.
I have knowledge, got a MTCNA but I’m not really into networking, as much as I am in other things. Also, it has been a while since I used Mikrotik, so gaps in knowledge, like this is possible.
That’s not the point. I got them cheap, don’t ask.
Just point me in the right direction for how to make two different VLAN’s on three same RB951.
Sure thing…
This is your best resource!!

This has some useful info as well.

Thanks man.
I also shoot to be better at things, but sometimes time is an enemy ![]()
Appreciated. I’ll look into this.
